Overview of the College Guild Program
College Guild offers free education for prisoners with a unique and empowering educational experience. Students work at their own pace, submitting assignments and receiving personalized responses by mail.
College Guild’s curricula are non-accredited, allowing for the coverage of diverse and non-traditional subject areas as well as the freedom to reach more people.

- Course Variety: The program offers a diverse range of courses in subjects like science and health, history and art, writing, and culture and society, allowing students to explore areas of personal interest.
- Personalized Feedback: Volunteer readers provide individualized feedback on assignments, offering encouragement and constructive comments that help students develop their critical thinking and writing skills.
- Anonymity and Respect: All correspondence between students and volunteer readers is handled through College Guild's central office, maintaining anonymity and fostering a respectful learning environment.
Overall, College Guild empowers incarcerated students by providing them with meaningful educational opportunities that promote personal development, self-expression, and a sense of connection to the broader world.
