 DRAMA CLUB II

This course is based on students writing a complete play.  Unit 1 includes the course introduction and instructions for writing the opening of the play.  The student will receive no further, formal units. Students will move on to Unit 2 (writing the next portion or act of the play)  after completing and receiving feedback on Unit 1, and so on.

* The last question in Unit 2 (page 5) asks, “Any idea on why this happens?” Following is the explanation: Suppose the number is xyz, i.e. 100x+10y+z. Reverse the digits to get x+10y+100z. Subtract these two expressions to get 99x-99z or 99(x-z). Now, 99 times a number k will have 3 digits, the first being k-1, the middle being 9, the final digit being 10-k. Reverse and add to get 900+180+9=1089.
